How to set up and launch a campaign
In the Campaigns section, you will be able to create your first campaign or a new one. You must name your campaign and follow these steps:
1. Audience.
You must select your audience from:
Segments: predefined ones or those you have manually created by applying audience filters.
Data Sources: for instance, if you've uploaded a file with contacts, you can select this file and send the campaign to all those contacts.
Tags: select the audience using tags.
If you have the Premium plan, you will be able to expand the 'Advanced' button, which allows you to make exclusions in the selected audience
2. Selected channel: SMS
3. Compose campaign:
Create the campaign message and preview the result on the right side, taking into account:
Extra features: Templates, Contact Attributes, Unsubscribe URL, Shortened URL and emojis.
Language Options: you can customize the default language.
A/B Test (at least 1,000 contacts are required)
4. Delivery settings.
You must decide:
Schedule campaign: when to send the campaign. As soon as possible or at a given time.
Unsubscribed contacts: send or not to contacts who have previously opted-out by using Instasent's unsubscribe URL (by default, we mark 'do not send').
Send or not to duplicated contacts
At this point, you must click the 'Get quote' button to get a calculation of the cost of the campaign. Finally, you will need to indicate whether you want to prepare and send the campaign directly or if you want to prepare and review it before confirming the submission.
