Shorten your URL and track results
At Instasent, we offer a link shortener so you can send your messages with the fewest possible characters. Additionally, you'll be able to track how many clicks your link has received.
By default, this link shortener is generic. We recommend that you configure your own branded URL or domain for your SMS sendings.
To use the Instasent link shortener, click on the 'Add Short URL' option available in the campaign editor.
Next, you will need to enter the URL to be shortened and click on Create:
Confirm by clicking on 'Save' and the shortened URL will be displayed:
Your URL will be shortened, and once the campaign is sent, you'll be able to see how many users clicked on the link. We recommend configuring a branded shortener to later provide the most comprehensive metrics possible.
However, as mentioned at the beginning of this article, using Instasent's link shortener is not mandatory, and you can include your own URL or shortened URL by typing it directly as plain text.
We always recommend sending a Test before confirming the campaign send (from the 'Send test' button, to the right of the text editing box and just below the message preview).
Be sure to check for country-specific restrictions on URL's before sending your campaign.
