Unsubscribed contacts are those who have explicitly requested to stop receiving communications from you. These contacts can be identified by the "Subscribed to SMS" attribute having a value of 'no' within your audience. This automatically happens when the end user clicks on the unsubscribe URL in any of your communications.
When preparing a campaign, the option 'Do not send to unsubscribed users' is checked by default to ensure that these contacts are not included in your campaign.
On the other hand, there is the "Accepts SMS" attribute. This field does not depend on campaigns sent from Instasent, but on the database you uploaded. It refers to whether the contact opted-in to receive your communications before you started using Instasent. By default, every contact has the value set to 'UNKNOWN', as we cannot assume any marketing preference.
In case you are sending a marketing campaign and have data sources providing values for this attribute, you can mark the checkbox to exclude every contact having them set to 'NO'.
Prior to confirming your campaign, you will be able to make this differentiation:
In this example, we are sending the campaign to all selected contacts, excluding those who have unsubscribed by clicking on the Stop URL in previous campaigns. We also exclude contacts who, through another channel, have indicated that they do not expressly want to receive SMS. And we will send the campaign to those contacts for whom we do not have this information.
In the same way, from the Audience section, you will also have available your contacts with both attributes, allowing you to easily identify any contacts who may have unsubscribed after receiving a campaign from Instasent
The example in red corresponds to the same situation we have studied before: the user was suscribed when you did the data importation but, after receiving a campaign from Instasent, the end user opted-out (Subscribed to SMS: no).
