This automation consists of sending an SMS when the order has been shipped, with the aim of informing the customer and providing them with the tracking link for their shipment. It is part of the preconfigured automations, and you must have previously connected your online store. To create this automation, we can use the "Order Shipped" template as a guide, and then you must follow these steps:

1. Select the Audience and the Trigger

  • Audience: It can be the entire audience or just a segment.

  • Activation Event: You must select the connector that sends the event and the name of the event → Order Shipped.

  • Cancellation Event: This would be an event that, if triggered, would prevent the message from being sent. In this case, we leave it so that the message is always sent.

2. Configure the message:

  • Waiting time: This is the time we will wait from when the contact is added to the list until the message is sent. In this case, we will set it to be sent immediately.

  • Sender and message text: In this case, it is very important that the tracking URL appears in the message text. If you are setting up your automation from scratch, do not forget to add the "Shipping Tracking URL" attribute, where you will enter your tracking URL. You can find more information about attributes here.

If you do not upload the tracking link to your e-commerce platform and instead configure it based on the customer's phone number or email, you will need to write the URL "youtracking.com/status/email" and edit the variable attribute as shown in the following image:

3. Delivery configuration:

Activation limit: In this case, we want the message to be sent every time an order is placed, so we will set it to Unlimited - Always Trigger.

Finally, save the automation and decide whether to enable the "Activate" button so that it starts running immediately.
