This automation consists of sending an SMS when an order has been abandoned, with the aim of informing the customer and encouraging them to complete the purchase. It is not included in the preconfigured automations, so we must create it from scratch, and you must have previously connected your online store.To create this automation, we will set up a custom automation and then follow these steps:
1. Select the Audience and the Trigger
Audience: It can be the entire audience or just a segment.
Activation Event: We must select the Klaviyo connector (Shopify does not provide this information), which sends the event, and the event name → Product Viewed.
Cancellation Event: This would be an event that, if triggered, would prevent the message from being sent. In this case, it will be Order Created, meaning that if the customer places an order, we won't send the message.
2. Configure the message:
Waiting time: This is the time we will wait from when the contact is added to the list until the message is sent. In this case, we set it to two hours.
Sender and message text: We include a link to our website so the customer can complete the transaction.
3. Delivery settings
Activation limit: In this case, we want the message to be sent only once every seven days, even if other products are viewed. Additionally, we will not send it if another message has been sent recently.
Finally, save the automation and decide whether to enable the "Activate" button so that it starts running immediately.
