Video tutorial:

At Instasent, we have the ability to send automations for new customers. This means that the first time a customer visits the site or meets the condition of being "new" in a data source, we will be able to send them an automated message.

NOTE: It will be necessary to have connected a data source that works with the "customer created" attribute (Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Sheets, OptiMonk, ActiveCampaign, ...).

To create this automation, you need to follow these steps:

Select the Audience and Trigger

  • Audience: It can be the entire audience or just a segment.

  • Activation event: We need to select the connector that sends us the event and the name of the event -> Customer created/updated.

  • Add filter: We indicate "Is it a new contact?" and select the value "Yes," then click "done."

  • Cancellation event: This would be the event that, if it occurs, would prevent the message from being sent. In this example, we want to send the message whenever there is a new contact, so there is no cancellation event.

For example, if we want to send a discount to a new customer 48 hours later, only if the customer hasn’t made a purchase, the cancellation event would be "Order placed" since we won’t send the message if the customer makes a purchase.

Set up the message:

  • Wait time: This is the amount of time we will wait from the moment a new contact is created until the message is sent.

  • Sender and message text

  • Multilingual message (optional)

3.Delivery settings:

  • Activation limit: It is possible to send the message every time a contact is created (e.g., a maximum of one message per day).

  • Do not send this automation if the contact has received another one in the last X hours/days.

  • Send or not send to unsubscribed contacts.

It will be necessary to Activate and save the automation.

Every time a contact is created in the source, the automated message will be sent.
