SMS STATUS

Once you have prepared your SMS campaign and after it has been sent, you will have information about the status of each message. You will also have global information (of all your campaigns and automations together) about the status of your messages in the Insights section.

But, what does each status mean?

  • Delivered: The end user has received the SMS and it has reached its handset.

  • Sent: Messages have been successfully processed and submitted from our platform to the carrier in a timely manner, but we have not yet received confirmation of receipt. This is usually due to the phone being turned off, out of coverage, switched to airplane mode, etc.

  • Failed: The message could not be delivered. The most common reason is that the number is no longer active. But it may also be due to other factors such as the line being temporarily suspended, the user's inbox being full, the device having connection problems, the user having blocked the receipt of messages, etc.

  • Expired: The SMS has been sent but the operator has not received confirmation of receipt or failure within the next 48 hours.

  • Unpaid: messages that were not sent due to insufficient funds. If these are unpaid messages from a campaign, you will need to add funds and confirm the resending of the campaign; if they are messages sent via API, Instasent does not resend these messages.

  • Enqueued: If your campaign is very large or coincides with a peak of traffic, the messages enter into queue and are sent as soon as possible.

  • Draft/scheduled: those messages that are in draft or scheduled to be sent later.
