✅ Abandoned Checkout Objective

The Abandoned Cart Flow is automatically triggered when a user adds products to their cart but leaves the e-store without completing the purchase, detecting this behavior in real time to send a personalized message that encourages them to return and finish their order.

👉 Trigger

Trigger: Checkout started
Filter: Optional. You can choose the minimum value of the purchase and filter those clients.
SMS 1
Delay: 30 minutes after the trigger
Condition: Customer has not made a purchase recently
SMS 2
Delay: 24 hours after the previous message.
Condition: Customer has not made a purchase recently

You must have previously connected your ecommerce and, if your user has indicated their phone number, you can send them a personalized SMS to recover that sale.

⚙️ General Configuration of the Flow

Whether you use a template or create the automation from scratch, you'll be able to define the following parameters:

  1. Audience: who will receive this message.

  2. Activation event: what needs to happen for the message to be sent?

  3. Cancellation event: what is the expected action? In other words, the event that, if it occurs, will prevent the message from being sent.

  4. Filter: If you click on the "+" you can add conditions to the trigger. For example, if the event is "Checkout started", you can set a minimum cart value (maybe you don't want to send a discount if the cart value is too low), or you can select a specific product category, in case you want to send a different message depending on the chosen product.

📨 Message Configuration

Set the waiting time between when the event occurs and when the message is sent, the sender, and the message content.

You can send multiple messages if you want to create a message chain.

⚙️ Delivery Settings

Set the message limit, meaning each time the trigger event occurs, how much time should have passed since the previous message was sent before sending a new one?

Additionally, you can indicate whether this message should or should not be sent to unsubscribed contacts.

Message example

SMS 1

Recover lost sales with reminders and, if needed, a small tiered incentive (discount, free shipping, etc.).

70% of shopping carts are abandoned. Do you just let them go?

😬 There’s a way to get them back without lifting a finger. [LINK]

SMS 2

Recover lost sales with reminders and, if needed, a small tiered incentive (discount, free shipping, etc.).

Your cart is waiting for you! To treat yourself, here’s a coupon: XXXX. Click here to complete your purchase [LINK]

Finally, save the automation and decide whether to enable the "Active" button or not for it to be live.
