✅ Abandoned Purchase Flow Objective

The goal of the Abandoned Purchase Flow is to reignite the interest of users who have viewed products, but haven’t added them to their cart. It’s based on the idea that there’s already a purchase intention, however the client just needs a small incentive to make the purchase.

👉 Trigger

Trigger: Product viewed (Klaviyo only)
Filter: Optional (specific category or product value higher than X €)
Delay: 2 hours
Condition: Order created (Customer ordered a product)

⚙️ General Configuration of the Flow

  • Audience: It can be the entire audience or just a segment.

  • Activation event: We must select the Klaviyo connector (Shopify does not provide this information), which sends the event, and the event name → Product Viewed.

  • Cancellation Event: This would be an event that, if triggered, would prevent the message from being sent. In this case, it will be Order Created, meaning that if the customer places an order, we won't send the message.

📨 Configure the message:

  • Waiting time: This is the time we will wait from when the contact is added to the list until the message is sent. In this case, we set it to two hours.

  • Sender and message text: We include a link to our website so the customer can complete the transaction.

⚙️ Delivery settings

  • Activation limit: In this case, we want the message to be sent only once every seven days, even if other products are viewed. Additionally, we will not send it if another message has been sent recently.

Finally, save the automation and decide whether to enable the "Activate" button so that it starts running immediately.
