Two-step authentication or verification to access Instasent is a security method that requires you to provide two forms of verification to access the app: your password and a PIN code. This is implemented to enhance security, significantly reducing the chances of unauthorized access.
Go to My Account > Security, and you can activate the following verification methods:
1. SMS
If you have this method enabled, each time you log in you must enter your password, and you will also receive an SMS with a PIN code that you must correctly enter to gain access.
2. APP (recommended)
This involves TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) authentication.
This method uses a temporary and unique code along with your password to verify your identity, protecting your account even if your password is compromised.
To enable it:
Open your preferred app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, LastPass, One Password, FreeOTP...)
Scan the QR code
You will receive a code in the app, which you must enter on Instasent.
Once completed, each time you log in to Instasent, you will receive a code in your TOTP app that we will request for access.
By enabling this method, you can decide whether to keep SMS verification or not. If you keep it, the Instasent app will ask for both codes (maximum security).
