Connecting Zoom will allow you to import the data of your contacts (name, phone, email, etc.) and their activities, such as the meetings they have registered for, attended, and left. This will enable you to segment contacts, send campaigns, and set up SMS automations.

Adding the app

To integrate Zoom and Instasent, you must follow these steps:

1. Create a Project and connect Zoom

When creating a project, you can directly connect your account, or if you already have a project, go to the Data Sources section and select Zoom.

An overview will be available showing all the information you can import: your contacts and their information, as well as real-time events. You will need to click on 'Install Zoom'.

2. Connect

Connect your Zoom account, granting read permissions.

Click 'Connect Zoom account'; a modal will open where you must enter your credentials.

3. Map

Your contacts contain a series of data in Zoom. We will call these fields or values 'Attributes'. Keep in mind that, in addition to Zoom, you can connect many more technologies, import data in .CSV, etc.

Therefore, each field must have a specific name assigned, avoiding creating duplicate attributes (for example, the 'Name' attribute may be called 'Name' in Zoom, and 'First name' in a .CSV file or in another app, but in Instasent it must be a single field for greater data accuracy).

By mapping, you ensure that each piece of data is placed in its correct attribute. Although we try to automatically match the attributes, variations in names or data structure can cause inconsistencies. Therefore, it is vital that you review the suggested mapping and adjust if necessary.

4. Merge*

*If this is the first data source you are connecting, this step will not appear yet.

Remember that you can connect many data sources (multiple .CSV files, spreadsheets, different technologies like Make, Shopify, Klaviyo, etc.). Instasent unifies and groups all this audience coming from all these sources.

Based on what value will you unify potential duplicate data from among your different data sources? If you choose, for example, the email, all contacts with the same email will be unified and their information will be aggregated. You can find more information in this article.

5. Tags

This involves tagging these contacts, to have an additional way to identify them among your entire Audience.

Usage

Once the app is connected, you will have this connector available in the Data Sources section, where you can have an overview and activity. You will also be able to send the first SMS campaign. All contacts will be available in the Audience section, where you can apply filters and create user segments.
